As a graduate of the University of Queensland in 2007, I have enjoyed every aspect of my journey in veterinary medicine, from those early weekend shifts in Brisbane to the fulfilling days here on the Sunshine Coast. At SuncoastVet, I am inspired by the unique stories pet owners share, often involving quirky, sometimes challenging, but always lovable pet behaviours.
After getting my puppy and learning about dog training from skilled trainers, I realized I wanted to explore pet behaviour further, particularly in helping pets with anxiety and other mental health challenges. Although I am not a specialist, I pursued a membership qualification that required extensive continuing education, which expanded my knowledge to assist pets with sensitive needs.
Today, I am passionate about using a holistic approach to help pets feel their best. Thanks to advancements in pheromones, nutraceuticals, specialized training aids, and targeted medications, I enjoy tailoring solutions for our sensitive pets. Whether discussing behavioural quirks with pet owners or exploring new treatment options, I am grateful to be part of the SuncoastVet team, supporting the pets and families that make our community so unique.

Shared interests: Native plants and animals, beaches for exploring – ideally both together.
Shared purpose: Helping pets and their people get along.
Shared animal stories: Did you know some cats learn to pee in the sink and then ‘call’ for their owner to rinse away the wee, one I met even learned how to turn on the tap (but unfortunately couldn’t turn it back off). We will own dogs again but currently own tropical fish and looking at getting some chooks soon.
